When 25-year-old Hayden Carlo left his house that day, he took his chances in going about his business, on the assumption that nobody would notice what he was doing.

He didn’t make it too far before a Plano cop singled him out of the line of cars, noticing what was wrong with his ride. However, when questioned about it, Carlo gave the cop a startling admission, which led to much more than he expected.

It sounds like something stolen straight from a horror movie, but it actually happened: a seven year-old Indian girl was strangled, then buried alive by her closest family members, authorities believe.

The BBC is reporting that the young girl was told she was being taken to a fair by her uncle and aunt.

They instead took her to a nearby cane field in India’s Sitapur district, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, where they proceeded to strangle the girl and bury her alive. Read the full story here ▶

The murder trial for a Colorado man accused of killing his own mother and tossing her into a dumpster begins this week in Pueblo.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, investigators released surveillance video of a man in October 2019 driving up to a dumpster at a South Side Pueblo car wash off of Ivywood Lane. The man then took a suitcase from his trunk and threw it in the dumpster.

The suspect was identified as Anthony Cuevas and the victim was his mother, 58-year-old Maria Cuevas-Garcia. Read the full story here ▶

Cara Simmons, a single mother of three from Cleveland, cleaned houses to provide for her family. According to her boss Mary Jo, the grind took its toll on her.

“Cara has struggled with financial concerns. [She was] always trying to make ends meet,” she recalled per the Daily Mail.

A Missouri mom was at a pool party with her toddler daughter when the weather changed and the kids began coming inside. Next thing the mom knew, little Alise wasn’t with her. Then she saw a foot pop up from under a pool raft and panic set in.

The 3-year-old had been dead for 12 minutes, despite recovery efforts. With mom on her knees pleading with God to spare her little girl, something unexplained happened several times over.

A court in central Russia on Sunday arraigned a suspect on murder charges in the death of an American woman who was studying at a local university.

The body of 34-year-old Catherine Serou was found Saturday in a wooded area near the city of Nizhny Novgorod, 250 miles east of Moscow. She had been missing since Tuesday.

Her mother, Beccy Serou, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, told National Public Radio that her daughter had last texted her: “In a car with a stranger. I hope I’m not being abducted.” Read the full story here ▶

A Nebraska man who had been charged within the 2020 murder of his fiancée was worked a existence sentence now.

Kolton Barnes, 27, was sentenced to existence without parole along with an additional 85-106 years on Monday for that nasty slaying of his fiancée Kayla Matulka along with other charges, based on court papers acquired by Archiweekend.com.

A jury found him guilty in May of first-degree murder, utilization of a deadly weapon to commit the murder, two counts of negligent child abuse, evidence tampering, animal cruelty for killing his dog and employ of the deadly weapon for animal abuse. Read the full story here ▶

In an upscale Southern California suburb, a mother of five thought she smelled the neighbor’s barbecue grill.

The smell went on for several days, always being strongest in the morning, then dissipating by the afternoon. The mother didn’t think much more about it, until her kids came inside with bloody noses.

An Ohio mother reportedly stabbed her boyfriend after finding him naked on top of her 12-year-old daughter on Sept. 12.

According to Cleveland.com, the unidentified woman allegedly stabbed the 31-year-old man six times with a knife, primarily on his chest and once behind his head.
