She was way too small and very underweight. When she was eight months old, she was diagnosed with a rare form of primordial dwarfism. The baby’s parents had her baptized the day she was born.

Parents already had two young boys and hoped for a baby girl, ‘instead got something much better’!

All children, whether boys or girls are a blessing, yet, there are some things that only parents of little girls can enjoy. “Sugar and spice and all that’s nice, that’s what little girls are made of.”

Everyone has heard this rhyme, and a truer rhyme has never been sung. Little girls can be sweet as can be, but they each have some spice and have their flavours making them unique and special in their own ways.

Angie and her husband, Geno, already had two young boys when they heard the good news. They were going to have another child. They hoped for a girl, so they couldn’t have been more thrilled when they learned what Angie was carrying in her stomach: not one or two, but three girls! They named the little ones Daniella, Camilla, and Anabella. Read the full story here ▶

The mother of 17-month-old Nariah Ivy Brown reports that her daughter was sexually assaulted by a man she asked to care for her in a hotel in Richmond.

Aija Brown, the girl’s mother, told the local media that she found Nariah wounded after she returned to the room, allegedly by the man Aija entrusted with her care.

Although Nariah was then hospitalized, she passed away within 48 hours of the assault.

Virginia police officials will only admit that young Nariah was assaulted but have released no further details in this case.

There has been no official cause of death released nor any details about the type of injuries that Nariah sustained.

As of this past Tuesday, neither the girl’s mother nor the unidentified man have been charged with any crimes.

Beloved McDonald’s Longtime Employee With Down’s Syndrome Has Passed Away

0

Down Syndrome is a type of intellectual disability that is caused by a malfunction in the human genome, specifically the 21st chromosome.

People who suffer from Down Syndrome usually aren’t able to live as independently as their counterparts of average mental capability are.

Freia David, who died earlier this week at the age of 55, was a longtime employee McDonald’s. As a matter of fact, Ms. David worked for McDonald’s for roughly 32 years.

Even more interestingly, Freia David only worked in one restaurant throughout her entire career with McDonald’s, which was located in Needham.

Ms. David had been retired from her long-held job at that Needham McDonald’s fast food restaurant for just about three years at the time of her death.

CBS Boston, a local news channel that generally covers local news in Boston, Massachusetts, has previously done a story on Ms. Freia, during which reporters shared that Freia David was also the most friendly employee there.

Further, she was generally more willing to talk than the remainder of her counterparts at the Needham McDonald’s.

The Boston Globe, a newspaper that is located in none other than Boston, Massachusetts, also published an obituary for Ms. Freia David, which, in part, recognized the fact that she was able to work just as well as anybody else without letting her Down Syndrome get in the way.

Freia David first got her job at the Needham McDonald’s 35 years ago, in 1984.

Ms. David was given the job through a program that places employees who are disabled intellectually at jobs that they will be able to manage.

The name of the program through which Ms. Freia David found employment was called the Charles River Center’s job placement program.

Ms. David actually lived at the Charles River Center in Needham in the three-odd years since she had retired from her job at McDonald’s.

She was found there at the time of her death.

The Charles River Center, believe it or not, worked with Freia David as one of its initial interactions with people who needed work but were intellectually disabled.

A service for Ms. Freia David is slated to be held on June 18, 2019, in Needham at the George F. Doherty & Son’s Funeral Home 30 minutes prior to noon.

Florida Mother Died by Suicide Because Her Toddler Vanished, But After 14 Years The Family Still Has Hope!

Trenton Duckett is the name of the boy that vanished from his bed in 2006 in Florida. His mother, Melinda Duckett, called 911 to report that her child is missing. The boy disappeared from his bedroom while Melinda was watching TV with some friends in the other room.

“He was ready for bed,” she breathlessly told the dispatcher. “He might have had his shoes off and his shirt off.” Police arrived on the scene and discovered that the screen to Trenton’s bedroom window had been cut. The boy had vanished without a trace.

Melinda Duckett was the prime suspect in the investigation. While police say they could have arrested her within four days of her son’s disappearance, they opted to wait, hoping that she would lead them to her son. Read the full story here ▶

Father says ‘this is how he knew his son was trans’ at age 2!

0

Children who begin identifying as trans at a young age tend to retain that identity at least for several years, a study suggests. The rights and experiences of trans people have been very much in the news over the last several years.

But parents of kids who raise questions about their gender or come out as trans may still find themselves at a loss for what to do next.

Both parents, Matthew and his wife Klara, said that their trans son, Stormy, born as a female with a twin brother, decided at the age of two that she was a boy and has since identified as such over the course of the last two years.

Stormy has had the support of his parents to challenge the social norms regarding his gender identity. Stubbings agrees that Stormy’s identity in himself not being constrained to societal norms and prejudices is something that everyone can learn from. According to the parents, Stormy displayed signs of identifying as a male as soon as he was 18-months-old. Within these months, Matthew said that Stormy displayed an aversion to pigtails, dresses, and pretty shoes.

Not too long after, at two-and-a-half, Stormy communicated to her family that she wasn’t a girl and was a boy instead. “Stormy has never been a girl. He has never verbally expressed to us that he’s a girl,” Stubbings said. Matthew and his wife have been supportive of Stormy being a transgender boy. Matthew also stated that he is a happy boy that loves his life. It has, however, become challenging for them when facing other adults within their community who are not understanding with their support. It is communicated to them that they are hurting their child due to him being four years old. With this in mind, they find themselves constantly attempting to have people reference Stormy as a boy and not the gender that he was assigned at birth.

Matthew has communicated pride in the decision that his son has made in his identity. “I am so proud that he knows who he is and isn’t constrained by societal norms and prejudices,” Stubbings said. “We can all learn something from this small boy, and I learn every day. Everyone is different.” He has received positive responses after sharing his story on social media as a means of encouraging people to accept people as they are. “We all need to accept that people are different and not try to force those around us to fit into a box that suits us. Accepting people for who they are is the only way to encourage innovation, embrace growth, and harness the best in everyone”. He made sure to include images of his son after having his hair cut. “I have permission from my son to post this. He is proud of who he is.”
