Officers realizes family are safe from gas leak, only for mom to see him stick around the play dolls with her kids

The police officers who serve in our great nation so often get a bad rep. Sometimes, admittedly, the criticism is warranted, but what many people forget is that the majority of these brave men and women risk their very lives each day in a bid to keep the rest of us safe.

Which is why I simply love stories like this one, wherein an officer proves that they’re great human beings. It began when Iesha Roper-Boswell placed a call to report a gas leak in an apartment complex.

South Hill Police Cpl. C.B. Fleming was the officer to respond, though once he’d quieted Iesha’s fears, he went ahead and did something that would leave her on the verge of tears.

Iesha Roper-Boswell had called in to report a gas leak at an apartment complex and it was Officer C.B. Fleming who answered that call.Yet when he had completed his duty, he took the time before heading back out to go above and beyond.

As Iesha explained to WTVR: “I was telling him that my daughter, my niece, and some of the other children here were afraid of cops.

“So when he came and played with them, I captured that moment, not because I thought it would go viral, but it was amazing that my niece didn’t break out into tears.”

Officer Fleming showed he’s not just a dab hand when it comes to enforcing America’s laws, he’s also fairly decent when it comes to coloring and playing dolls!

The man himself, a 15-year veteran of the force, told WTVR: “When I got into this job, I knew there was something different, other than just writing tickets and being the bad person all the time,” “I figured if I could be that bright spot in someone’s day, then that’s all that mattered.”

“He’s awesome. That’s the only word you can really use to describe C.B.,” Iesha added. “It’s just amazing, the bond he has with the children.”

In upstate New York, a local mother saw a pile of Imodium A-D boxes in her teenage son’s bedroom. She was surprised, because as far as she was aware, her son didn’t suffer from any form of incontinence issue.

The pills were being bought and consumed for something more sinister entirely.

The product is flying out of stores from behind the counter, because when consumed in a large enough quantity, it replicates a heroin-esque high. Read the full story here ▶

Nurse noticed something hidden in woman who was in a 14 year coma, ‘she alerted the doctor who made a troubling discovery’!

0

According to the health officials, the difference between being in a coma and being in a vegetative state is that a patient in a coma is completely unresponsive, does not react to light or sound, cannot feel pain and whose eyes remain closed.

Comas normally last for a finite period of time – days, weeks or even months. A patient in a vegetative state is still unconscious, but such a condition can be characterized by involuntary eye movement, teeth-grinding and facial expressions. Some patients in a vegetative state can remain so for years or indefinitely.

Per reports, the young woman who has been in coma for 14 years, got pregnant and gave birth at the nursing facility. Read the full story here ▶

According to the Associated Press, Wayne Sperling pleaded guilty to keeping his young children in a filthy home and faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced on December 30.

Last October, the boys, ages two and six, were removed from the home when an emergency room doctor suspected abuse after the youngest had to be transported to the hospital for a cut on his forehead.

Marine Diagnosed With Terminal Brain Tumor Weeks After Wife Learned Of Pregnancy Has Died

0

He may have been a fighter to the end, but this family had always been aware Jason Shipton’s time on this good Earth was limited early on.

Jason and Amanda Shipton were no strangers to the possibility of loss as it is.

The man himself was a U.S. Marine, and was regularly deployed to the front lines in places like Iraq and Afghanistan to partake in life-threatening combat.

In fact, after being engaged for only six weeks, Jason had to leave his newly-wed bride as a two-week-old husband for his second deployment.

The pattern over the next decade or so would be familiar to any military couple or family, with Amanda being constantly worried Jason might return in a box instead.

Jason and Amanda Shipton

Miraculously, however, he survived the wars he was put through just fine.

Not only that, the two of them managed to build a warm and loving family in those ten years of marriage and had two children together.

Not bad for a couple that was initially engaged for just over a month!

Alas, their happiness was not to last. Just a few weeks after celebrating Amanda’s third pregnancy, the couple was blasted with some heartbreaking news.

Jason was diagnosed with brain cancer, at the age of only 37-years-old.

A shockingly young age – especially for one who was a father of a soon-to-be-complete trio of sons.

Jason and Amanda Shipton

A fighter at heart, Jason was not going to take this prognosis lying down.

Armed with Amanda’s eternal support and the same kind of steely grit and determination and proved to be of great help during his service, Jason battled through radiation and chemotherapy to outlast the original five years the doctors had given him.

The tumor was successfully beaten into submission, and Jason was able to help Amanda raise their three sons for longer than they thought possible.

Jason and Amanda Shipton

Although fate had given them a brief respite and a few years of happiness with the remission of cancer, the odds were stacked against them.

It was incredibly likely that the aggressive brain tumor would return, and possibly in a location that would render it untreatable.

The family did their best, but the predicted inevitable came true – the tumor was back, and this battle was one Jason could not win.

Jason and Amanda Shipton

The family was, at the very least, prepared for this. Amanda showed just why Jason married her, by proving herself to be strong and courageous during this painful time.

Later, she wrote and posted on Facebook a message about her husband, and poured out her feelings in a heartfelt post.

Jason and Amanda Shipton

There, she shared about just how she feels heartbroken, but is also encouraged and strengthened by her sons.

They have, at least, grown up knowing their father, thanks to just how hard he fought to be there for them.

Jason has left a wonderful legacy, and the family has clearly been inspired by the strength he had put into loving them.

Jason and Amanda Shipton

Now, they just have to learn how to live without a father and husband and do their best to live up to the legacy he had left behind.
