However, when onlookers spotted the toddler walking with her father through a store, they were left in complete disbelief when they realized what she held in her hands – and that’s when they decided to say something to the dad about it.

According to the court documents, the young mother, later identified as Arya, was sentenced to 14 years in prison followed by 10 years of probation.
The woman reportedly killed her newborn baby, who she didn’t named, and threw the baby’s body in ocean. The 29-year-old mother was initially charged with one count of first-degree premeditated murder for tossing her newborn.

In the whirlwind of bad news that we see every single day, it can be very disheartening to think that there isn’t much good in the world left.
But every now and then, a sweet, wholesome, kind bit of news comes around that brings our faith in humanity back to its fullest. This story is one of them.
Lisa Lemming Jackson was doing some shopping at a local supermarket called Kroger in Georgia when she came across a man who looked like he needed assistance.
She met his eyes by chance while she was wandering through the store aisles that day in early August, and she saw that the elderly man looked distressed.
She offered him a smile and started to walk past him, but as she did, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was very wrong.
So Lisa stopped and went back to him and asked if something was amiss or if he needed help. The man’s eyes began to fill with tears and he appeared very embarrassed.
He explained that he has colon cancer, and he said that he’d had a bad accident while he was there in the store.
He felt ashamed and didn’t want to get up from the cart, as everyone would be able to know what happened if he did so.
The man looked like he was feeling as though he’d lost all his dignity. His situation saddened Lisa, and she knew she had to help.
She spoke to staff at the Kroger store and they helped to bring him new undergarments and some wipes.
They also discreetly moved him to an employer bathroom and presented him with some clothes for him to change into.
By this point, the elderly man was crying gratefully. He was so touched by their kindness and apologized for the trouble.
He also said that he had to hurry and be done with his shopping, as his wife was back home alone and he wanted to get back to her.
Lisa accompanied him to the cash register, and when they arrived, he saw that all the groceries he had put in his cart were all bagged and ready to go – and they had also been completely paid for!
Once more, the man found himself in tears. He couldn’t believe how compassionate everyone was being to him.
As it turns out, this man, named Elmer, was a war veteran who had fought in the Korean War and the Vietnam War both.
He’d always loved his country dearly but felt that his country had forgotten about him and what he and other servicemen and servicewomen had done for them.
That is until today when he was reminded just how good and kind others can be.
Lisa found herself in tears, too.
They traded tales of their own difficulties in life, and the man kindly imparted wise words to her to help her and give her encouragement in her own struggles and worries.
The fact that Lisa and Kroger staff pooled together to help Elmer and go above and beyond for him truly reminds us that there is hope in humanity yet!
Stephen Garofalo, a dedicated member of the postal service, has been a mailman for over three decades.
In his time as a mail carrier, Garofalo’s come to know the people on his route intimately. From their faces to their names, Garofalo has a relationship with each person he delivers mail to.
As such, he’s able to identify when something is amiss. Garofalo did just that when he discovered a two-year-old boy wandering outside alone.
Typically, he’s accompanied by his mother. In a valiant attempt to return the boy to his mother, Garofalo approached the toddler to get some more information.
When asked where his mommy was, the little boy tentatively pointed to his house. Garofalo immediately took notice of how frightened the child was.
Without a second thought, Garofalo ran into the house. What he found shook him.
Stephanie, the child’s mother, was seen collapsed over her son’s stroller. When Garofalo tried to get her attention, he discovered that she was unconscious.
According to the medical team, Stephanie had suffered an adverse reaction to some new medication.
Thanks to Garofalo’s heroic disposition, the mother was able to receive immediate medical attention.
Garofalo has since been awarded the Life Saving Award for his noble deed.

According to Molly, she received a phone call stating that her father’s wife had died in their closet and there were needles and her0in found next to her. She thought about all the signs leading up to this moment.
When Molly’s family fell apart she knew she would be the one to have to put it back together. Her father was given 4 months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at age 50.
A day after that she received some horrible news, but it wasn’t about her father. Her father’s wife had died of an overdose. The entire family was shocked.
Molly quickly went into problem-solving mode. She needed to console her father and help figure out who would care for his 2-year-old son, Easton. So, she jumped on a plane alone with her 7-month-old twins and flew from to her father’s home. Her father quickly signed custody of Easton over to his daughter. She was heartbroken over how hard that moment must have been for her father.
To have to sign over his son knowing he wouldn’t live much longer. His eyes had begun to yellow, a sign of liver failure. In just 12 days, Easton had become an orphan. He would also have to attend the most personal funeral in his life before he could even speak. A few days later, Easton came home with Molly and her family. Easton’s life was about to drastically change again. He now lived in a world with structure, four sisters, and meals at the table.
Easton had become officially adopted at the age of 3 after his sister had fought for him for 458 days. “He’s now a brother to four sisters whom he is biologically the uncle of! If we want to get really technical, he’s also the brother-in-law of my husband, his now dad! I can only imagine the tricks they will play on other’s one day with that information,” she said. Now that Molly thinks back on it, it seemed that Easton was always been destined to be her son. That’s something the boy seemed to know from the start.
According to the court documents, the 29-year-old stepfather, later identified as Malcolm, was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison after he reportedly beat his 5-year-old stepdaughter to death before he dumped the child’s body in river. Prosecutors said the defendant pleaded guilty to second-degree murder was sentenced on Monday.
The fatal incident occurred in September 2019. The 5-year-old child, Renezme, was reported missing by her mother. The unfortunate mother told investigators that the child was in care of her husband, Malcolm.
During an interview with investigators, the stepdad reportedly said that he noticed Renezme missing the day before and spent an hour outside looking for her. He also told investigators that he didn’t found her, so went back inside and resumed drinking.
The 29-year-old stepdad also refused to let investigators search his phone, but denied any involvement in Renezme’s disappearance. The child’s body was recovered 3 days after she was reported missing. According to the L&C, ‘authorities believe that the 29-year-old man beat the child to death because he was upset that he had to care for the girl despite her not being his biological daughter.’
Malcolm’s 1-year-old son was also present in the home on the fatal day, but the boy was not injured. The medical examiner told authorities that Renezme suffered blunt force trauma to the head and had a fractured left wrist. The child also suffered other injuries throughout her body, an autopsy revealed. During the investigation, Malcolm reportedly agreed with the medical examiner’s findings but also said that he was too drunk to remember what he did to his stepdaughter.
As soon as the boy’s dad, Barry realized that his son was taking more time than usual to return home from school, he suspected that something was not right.
He became even more concerned when he noticed that his son didn’t have any pocket money to buy toys or treats. To get to the bottom of things, he decided to secretly follow his son one day.

You would think that when it comes to one’s children, a mother’s first priority would be that of her child’s health.
In the case of the two-year-old Indonesian toddler Rapi Ananda Pamungkas, this is unfortunately not quite the case.
In fact, a video of this toddler has gone viral for the exact opposite reason.
In Indonesia – a country with one of the highest rates of smoking in the world – an estimated 9 percent of children under the age of 18 are considered regular smokers.
Among those numbers, Rapi may be the youngest to pick up the habit.
His tender age and subsequent feature in a viral video has created a huge backlash and outrage as a result.
Maryati, Rapi’s mother, claims that he started smoking when he picked up a lit cigarette butt he found on the floor near his mother’s stall in the market.
Upon inhaling the cigarette, he pronounced it delicious and from then on was apparently hooked.
He would go as far as to beg shoppers in the market for cigarettes and pick up salvageable ones off streets.
Smoking has well-documented ill effects – among the long list of health risks long-term smoking poses includes the increased risk of developing lung cancer, stroke, and coronary heart disease.
This is because smoking affects both the lungs and the blood circulation directly.
On top of all this, one has to take into account the addiction problems caused by nicotine dependency.
Unfortunately, Rapi clearly already has developed a smoking habit at such a young age and is known for smoking two packs a day.
His mother has stated that while she is concerned for her son’s health, she has a difficult time denying him his addiction due to his reaction.
Upon being told no, Rapi will throw tantrums, scream, cry, and pull out his hair.
Health officials have already expressed concern for the toddler’s developing health, especially in regard to possible brain damage.
It has gotten to the point that they have visited Maryati in person to urge her to take her son’s health more seriously and get him to go cold turkey.
However, his mother has protested that she is unable to keep a strict eye on her son’s addiction, claiming that the toddler will wander off on his own outside of her range of supervision while she is working in the marketplace.
She continued to explain that he will then find more cigarettes on the streets.
In spite of all the difficulties she must overcome, Maryati has claimed to have already taken steps to curb Rapi’s nicotine addiction.
She has gone on to say that she has already been successfully cut down his smoking and has redirected him to more age-appropriate activities such as playing with toys.
However, a recently posted online video suggests that this may not be the case.
Considering Rapi has developed a smoking habit at such a young age, it is terrifying to imagine just how this will affect his childhood development.
Hopefully, this boy will kick the habit as soon as possible with minimal permanent damage!
