Elton John makes startling claim about Michael Jackson years after his death

It’s no great surprise that many of the oldest heads from the volatile, ever-unpredictable world of celebrity showbiz boast a veritable vault of secrets. Neither is it all that wild that many of these revelations eventually see the light of day at one point or another.

Yet it can’t be disputed that there are celebrities and celebrities. That is to say that there are levels to the game that separate those who are hesitant to walk down a high street for fear of being recognized and those who are out-of-this-world superstars.

Elton John, it’s safe to say, sits in the latter category. Which is perhaps why the release of his memoir, Me, garnered so much attention …

Within the pages of Me there were plenty of claims made by the iconic singer, plenty of stories retold, plenty of hilarious, shocking, upsetting moments revisited.

Yet it was his words on the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, that have struck something of a chord online.

John told how he had met Jackson when the latter was still a young boy, before going on to describe how the years changed the Thriller singer in all manner of ways, and none of them positive.

“I’d known Michael since he was 13 or 14,” Elton wrote. “He was just the most adorable kid you could imagine. But at some point in the intervening years, he started sequestering himself away from the world and away from reality, the way Elvis Presley did.”

Elton went on to affirm his belief that Jackson’s transformation may have largely been down to his prolonged use of prescription drugs.

“God knows what was going on in his head,” Elton continued, “and God knows what prescription drugs he was being pumped full of, but every time I saw him in his later years I came away thinking that the poor guy had totally lost his marbles.

The Your Song artist added: “I don’t mean that in a lighthearted way. He was genuinely mentally ill, a disturbing person to be around.”

Jackson infamously became the center of a mass media storm after he was accused of sexual abuse against minors – a dark cloud that has never really been disassociated with his name, even now, many years after his passing.

As for those rumors, John said simply: “For whatever reason, he couldn’t seem to cope with adult company at all.”

John’s health

Of late, the 75-year-old John has been troubled with a number of health issues.

He was forced to postpone and reschedule many of the dates on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour until 2023 in a bid to aid his recovery.

Earlier this week, reports emerged suggesting that Elton had declined an offer to perform at King Charles’s coronation concert. He famously performed Candle in the Wind at Princess Diana’s funeral, but will not be appearing at the ceremony to officially confirm her ex-husband’s position as the new monarch of England.

Twin 3-Year-Olds Die Together in Hot Car—and No One Put Them In There: Parents BEWARE!

0

A heartbreaking story that sends white hot fear into the heart of every mom comes out of Louisiana this week. While their mom took a brief catnap on the couch, 3-year-old twins Oliver and Aria Orr slipped out the front door and climbed into their parents’ unlocked truck, which sat outside in the hot Louisiana sun.

It was a brief nap on the couch for one Louisiana mother which created a window for her 3-year-old twins to sneak out of the house and climb into the truck in the driveway. Their parents truck was unlocked and sitting out in the hot southern heat.

When mom woke up, she saw the front house door open and began frantically searching for her children, along with a neighbor who helped.

The mom told local news: “He was sitting in the floor boards and he had put his head on the seat.”

Both were unresponsive and CPR was attempted. They were taken to the hospital, but sadly they were pronounced dead.

Turns out it is estimated that 40 kids will die in a hot car this summer, but this particular case is different in that these kids actually climbed inside the vehicle themselves as it was unlocked, but they were not able to get out.

This mom is not alone, as Amy Michelle Carey had a similar experience and she is urging parents to be sure to lock their vehicles when parked in the driveway.

“Yesterday my sweet Cason almost became 1 of the 40 kids that will die this year from being in a hot car. This is hard for me to write because I feel guilty but I know many people leave their vehicles unlocked and now I know you shouldn’t.”

While this mom believed her child was inside playing a video game, she thankfully checked on him after 20-30 minutes. Then they found him in the van. Here’s what she had to say about the incident:

“Cason had been playing minecraft in his brothers room, which he can do forever and you never hear from him. Christian had loud music playing while we mopped the kitchen floor together. After about 20-30 minutes of cleaning I went to peak at Cason to be sure he was still doing okay, but he wasn’t there. I ran through the house yelling for him but he didn’t answer. I ran outside and there he was, in the van jumping up and down, crying with sweat pouring off of him. I grabbed him out and he immediately started to fall asleep. We got inside called 911, they arrived and helped me get his temp and vitals stable so we could go to the ER. They ran blood tests on my strong boy who never shed a tear and everything came back that he will be okay!!! We got so lucky, I am thankful I decided to check on him, who knows how long he was in there or how much longer he would have been able to handle the heat.

The reason I tell this is so all parents keep their vehicles locked. What we know now is that Cason and Jake went outside to look for my cleaning supplies(its often in my van because I clean houses) Cason got shut in and he wasn’t strong enough to get the doors back open. I would have never thought they would go out there and get in the hot van but they did. It happened to me it could happen to you.

Please share to spread awareness of keeping vehicles locked so children don’t have access to them.”

Always lock your car doors even if you have nothing to fear regarding theft. This is all about child safety and you can literally save a child’s life by keeping vehicles locked up. It could be your own child or a wandering child in the neighborhood.

Share this important message to get the word out to all parents regarding the importance of locking vehicles.

My Husband Refused to Take Photos of Me on Our Vacation — His Reason Shocked Me, but My Revenge Left Him in Tears

0

Hi everyone, Hannah here. This is a difficult story to share, but I feel like I need to. I’m a 38-year-old mom of two amazing kids (seven and five), and I’ve been married to my husband, Luke, for nearly a decade. We’ve had our share of challenges, like any couple. But something that happened on our recent trip to Mexico really shocked me more than anything else we’ve been through

Now, imagine this: we’re in Mexico, surrounded by stunning beaches and gorgeous weather. I was so excited about this trip. I had planned everything meticulously because, let’s face it, as a mom, I rarely get a break.

This was supposed to be our time to reconnect, relax, and just enjoy each other’s company. But right from the start, Luke was acting weird. Every time I asked him to take a photo of me or with me, he’d brush it off

“I’m not in the mood,” he’d say, or “Can we do it later?” At first, I didn’t think much of it. Maybe he was just tired from the travel, right? But then it kept happening.

We were on this beautiful beach, and I was wearing this new dress I bought just for the trip. I felt good about myself, which is rare these days after two kids and all. I asked Luke, “Can you take a picture of me with the sunset?”

He sighed and muttered, “Not now, Hannah.”

I frowned, feeling a bit hurt. “Why not? It’ll just take a second.”

“I said I’m not in the mood,” he snapped, turning away.

That stung. I mean, we’re on vacation, and he can’t take a moment to snap a photo? I felt embarrassed and confused.

Throughout the trip, I noticed him being extra protective of his phone. He’d hide the screen whenever I walked by and took it with him even to the bathroom. My gut told me something was off, but I tried to ignore it.

One afternoon, Luke was in the shower, and I saw his phone lying on the bed. My heart pounded as I picked it up. I know it’s wrong to invade someone’s privacy, but I had to know. I quickly unlocked his phone and opened his recent messages.

There it was, a group chat with his friends. And what I read made my blood run cold. He had written, “Imagine, guys, at her weight, she still wants me to take pictures of her! Where would she even fit in the photo? She hasn’t been the same since giving birth.

Tears welled up in my eyes, and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. This was the man I loved, the father of my children, saying such cruel things behind my back. I thought we were partners, that he loved me for who I am, but here he was, mocking me to his friends.

I put his phone back and sat there in shock. How could he? I felt devastated and betrayed. Our marriage was far from perfect, but I never imagined he thought so little of me. I cried quietly, not wanting the kids to hear.

After some time, my tears dried up, and I felt something else: anger. I wasn’t going to let him get away with this. I needed to do something to show him that his words had consequences. That’s when I had an idea.

I took out my phone and went through the photos I had taken myself during the trip. I selected the best ones and posted them on Facebook with a caption that read, “Looking for a new vacation partner. Am I really so unattractive that even my husband doesn’t want to take pictures of me?”

Almost immediately, the post started getting likes and comments. My friends and even some acquaintances chimed in with supportive messages. They praised my photos, calling me beautiful and expressing their shock at Luke’s behavior. I didn’t mention the specifics of what he said, but the message was clear.

When Luke came out of the shower, he noticed my mood had shifted. “Everything okay?” he asked, probably sensing the tension.

“Just peachy,” I replied, not looking up from my phone. I was still furious and hurt, and I couldn’t bring myself to make eye contact with him.

The next day, I was still reeling from the shock of Luke’s betrayal. I couldn’t shake off the things he had said about me. But then, something happened that added another layer to this already complicated situation.

Just before our trip, I had received news that my uncle, whom I had never met, had passed away and left me a substantial inheritance.

I had planned to share this news with Luke during our vacation, thinking it would be a joyous surprise. But after discovering what he really thought of me, I decided to keep it to myself.

That morning, word somehow reached Luke through his mother, who had found out about the inheritance. I was in the middle of packing our bags, ready to cut the trip short, when Luke walked in with a bouquet of flowers.

He had this sheepish look on his face, one that I had seen a few times before when he knew he had messed up.

“Hannah, I’m so sorry for everything,” he started, holding out the flowers. I took them without a word, waiting to hear what he had to say next.

He continued, “I know I’ve been a jerk. I shouldn’t have said those things. But honey, with your new money, you can hire a trainer and lose weight.”

I couldn’t believe my ears. Did he really think an apology would be enough, followed by a suggestion that I use my inheritance to change myself for him? I was overcome with rage and replied, “Maybe I will, Luke. But not so you can ogle at me.”

The look on his face was priceless. He had expected me to just forgive him and move on. But I was done. I had reached my breaking point. “Luke, I’m divorcing you,” I said, my voice steady despite the turmoil inside me.

His eyes widened, and for a moment, he was speechless. Then, to my surprise, he began to cry. “Please, Hannah, don’t leave me,” he begged. “I’ve already told my friends I was planning to buy a new SUV to go off-roading with them, and now, without your money, all my plans are ruined.”

I was dumbfounded. It hit me then how little he valued me. It wasn’t about our relationship or our family; it was about what my money could do for him. I looked at him with pity and determination.

“It seems like you love my money more than me. You can find another way to buy your SUV, but you won’t do it with my money or by humiliating me. Goodbye, Luke.”

I walked away from him then, feeling a strange sense of relief coupled with sadness. This wasn’t how I had envisioned my life, but it was time to take control of my happiness.

I spent the rest of the day making arrangements to return home and start the divorce process. The support from my friends and family continued to pour in. Each comment and message helped me regain my confidence and belief in my own worth.

I realized that I didn’t need someone like Luke to validate my beauty or my value. I was enough, just as I am. I decided to move on with my life, focusing on my kids and myself.

In the days that followed, I started working out, not because Luke suggested it, but because I wanted to feel healthier and stronger. I took up new hobbies, spent more time with friends, and even considered going back to school.

One day at the mall, I ran into Luke. He startled me with a half-compliment. “Hey! I almost didn’t recognize you, Hannah. You look different. How are you and the kids?”

“We’re doing great,” I replied, not wanting to continue the conversation.

“Hannah, I’ve been meaning to ask you if…”

“I’m running late, Luke. I have to be somewhere. Excuse me,” I said before leaving. From the corner of my eye, I saw confusion and pain paint his otherwise calm and confident face.

But that didn’t bother me anymore because I was now free to live my life on my terms and feel comfortable in my skin. Rather than mourning my doomed marriage, I was ready to move forward with strength and self-love.

So, what do you think? Did I handle things correctly or was my reaction a little too overboard? What would you have done differently in my shoes?

Stepfather Scalds 4-Year-Old in Near-Boiling Water, Sentenced for Atrocious Act

0

According to the court documents, the 27-year-old dad, Joshua, put his 4-year-old stepson in a bathtub of near-boiling hot water.

Prosecutors said the child suffered burns over more than one-third of his body. The stepfather admitted to burning the little boy and was sentenced to 40 years in a state correctional facility.

The 27-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to injury to a child with intent to cause serious bodily injury. He also pleaded to a sentencing enhancement based on previous convictions on charges of se-ual assault and burglary of a habitation.

According to the court documents, this unfortunate incident occurred on May 26, 2022. Child Protective Services contacted the Sheriff’s Department regarding a 4-year-old boy who had been brought to a hospital to treat severe burns. The boy, who was not identified due to his age, was admitted to the hospital, intubated, and placed on a ventilator due to his injuries. Authorities said he required multiple surgeries and skin grafts due to the burns. Hospital staff told authorities that the 4-year-old boy suffered burns over more than one-third of his body. According to the doctors, the burns included the entirety of both of his legs, feet, and buttocks, as well as a portion of his right arm. The doctor also noted that most of the burns sustained by the child were third-degree burns that were likely the result of forceful immersion.

During an interview with investigators, the victim’s mom reportedly said that when she arrived home from work, her son was wrapped in a towel that hid his injuries. When she removed his towel and revealed the victim’s injuries, she immediately Joshua to call 911 and the child was transported to the hospital. During an interview with investigators, the 27-year-old stepfather blamed the 4-year-old, claiming the boy sustained the burns when he bumped into the stove, accidentally spilling a pot of hot water on himself.

But, the boy’s babysitter reportedly told investigators that while the mother was out, the boy went to the bathroom. The babysitter then told Joshua to clean the boy. Joshua then undressed the little boy, ran a hot bath and went into the bathroom with the child. Joshua then left the child and went to play video games. The 27-year-old stepfather then returned to the bathroom and yelled at the boy, while the 4-year-old victim was crying. Hospital staff told investigators that the boy’s injuries were likely the result of him being held down in the dangerously hot water by force.
