Due to the generous action of actor Jon Voight, some medically needy children will have a very a happy Thanksgiving.

Voight, who is the father of Angelina Jolie, most popularly known for his oscar-winning role in the movie Coming Home, and for his career-making portrayal of the male prostitute “Joe Buck” in Midnight Cowboy, which was the only X-rated movie ever to win an Academy Award for Best Picture.

As he was waiting in line at a Kentucky Walmart, Voight saw a woman standing in front of him with shopping cart stuffed with turkeys, CBS News reports.

The woman, Sydney Gholston, reportedly recognized the ageing actor when he struck up a conversation with her about the turkeys, asking if she had a large family.

Gholston, 28, explained that she was buying them for children at Home of the Innocents, a local nonprofit shelter and pediatric convalescent center. That’s all Voight needed to hear. Generously, he insisted on footing the bill for all six turkeys.

Meredith Pack, marketing manager for Home of the Innocent, was elated. “Some medically fragile children do not eat the same Thanksgiving meal and some residents will have other arrangements with family for the holiday,” she said.

On Nov. 18, shortly after receiving the turkey donation, the Home of the Innocents posted a picture on its Facebook page of Gholston and Voight posing together at the Walmart, along with the story of the charitable transaction.

The post has subsequently gone viral, with more than 4,200 shares and 11,000 likes.

A Florida man was recently horrified to find four thugs at his front door trying to break in as his wife and children slept. Now, the story has gone viral after the “alpha male” in the gang tried to shoot the fed-up victim in the face but got a brutal surprise when his victim decided he wasn’t ready to die.

According to Palm Beach Post, the shocking home invasion attempt took place in Lake County, Florida. Police say that 22-year-old Aswad Emmanuel Velazquez, Isiah Velazquez, Tareak Ilarreza, and Lawrence Alexis tried to break into the apartment of a man whose wife and children were sleeping.

As the four thugs tried to break the chain lock on the door, Aswad reportedly tried to shoot the victim in the face, narrowly missing his ear. According to police, the fed-up victim, who was armed at the time, shot Aswad once, knocking him to the ground.

Lake County Sheriffs Office says that the tenant claims Aswad got back on his feet and started firing at him again. In fear for his life and the lives of his wife and children, the armed victim put multiple rounds into Aswad’s body, killing him.

According to local news source WFTV, Fred Jones from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said, “He hit the suspect, the suspect went down, got back up and tried to shoot him again. That’s when he shot the suspect multiple times.” The other three criminals took Aswad to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Isiah Velazquez, Tareak Ilarreza, and Lawrence Alexis, and they are currently being held without bail. All three are facing charges of burglary to a structure while armed, second-degree murder, and two counts of attempted murder.

According to police, the woman who lives at the residence where the invasion took place was shot in the foot after she woke up to the sound of her husband confronting the thugs. She was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Boy died and left blue stain on the carpet, ’12 years later his mother made a heartbreaking discovery’!

The unfortunate mother, Heather, said that she lost her young son and has since been working hard to share her important message with all parents.

Heather shared her story on her social media account under the heading “The Blue Stain”. As you read it for yourself, you quickly understand why it is pulling at so many people’s heartstrings.

One day, the mother was picking up some slime off the floor that her daughter had dropped. It’s then that everything became obvious to her.

Her daughter had done her best to clean up the stain left by the slime, but Heather naturally had to get in there too and help. She was, as natural for any parent, annoyed by the situation. But as she began muttering under her breath, she suddenly remembered a different stain. A stain from 14 years prior. At that time, Heather had of two-year old triplets as well as a four year old little boy. She did not have her daughter yet. On this particular evening, she was struggling to get her 4 active boys into bed. With four young children in the house, life was nothing but a tornado of activity and non-stop chaos. She spent most of the time chasing her kids — often feeling like she was facing the potential of a third world war. “My hands were full, but so was my heart.” As night drew near that evening 14 years ago, she recalled the struggle of feeding and bathing all four boys, all the while cleaning up after the usual mess.

The children had music blasting and ran around singing and dancing, full of energy as usual. This would be the last time in a while that this kind of atmosphere would prevail in the house… for several reasons. Amidst the chaos and her struggle to get the boys in bed, she looked down at the carpet and saw a large ink-blue stain. One of the triplets, Jacob, stood nearby, broken pen in hand — the ink had spread all over the carpet. It was also all over his pajamas, his body and more or less everything else in the room! “We had only lived in this house for six months and now the carpet was completely ruined. We scrubbed that stain for an hour that night, but yet it remained.”

The stain continued to get on her nerves and she was annoyed at it every time she saw it. “It made me feel angry and it made me feel like such a failure for leaving out the pen where my young son could reach it. That blue stain was just a big fat negative in my life. I hated it,” Heather says. But as her frustration over the stain continued to grow, suddenly, it all went away, in a single, life-changing moment. The little boy who had broken the pen that day was soon diagnosed with cancer. And two years following the heart-shattering news, Jacob was gone. As Jacob went to heaven, the blue stain remained. “It was still there . . . and now . . . it was a constant reminder of my son. It was a constant reminder of my frustration over something so trivial . . . something so unimportant in the scheme of life.” Heather now wants mothers everywhere to realize that young children will of course always make a mess. Raising young children can be incredibly frustrating and as they get older, a parent faces new trials and challenges. For Heather, the blue stain is now a constant reminder that life with children can be messy, but is so worth living.
