According to the Associated Press, Wayne Sperling pleaded guilty to keeping his young children in a filthy home and faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced on December 30.
Last October, the boys, ages two and six, were removed from the home when an emergency room doctor suspected abuse after the youngest had to be transported to the hospital for a cut on his forehead.
Sperling, his wife and the boys lived in an apartment filled with cat feces and flies, authorities said. The children were malnourished and could only communicate in grunts when they were found. Read the full story here ▶
Per reports, although emergency services rushed to her rescue because of “concern for safety,” they found her dead in the hotel room at 6:27 am.
During an interview with investigators, her mom reportedly said: “There was some sort of engagement party or something. By midnight, she had been drinking shots and so on, and she was a bit drunk, so her friend took her back to the hotel to sleep it off, and then he’s gone back out.
It seems she has got up out of the bed confused, not knowing where she is, and she’s opened the door of the wardrobe may be thinking it is the toilet or the door to go back out of the room. Read the full story here ▶
When we share our lives on the internet, we often open them up to criticism. This young couple who just enjoys sharing pictures with one another received backlash from people for their relationship.
However, their response to the criticism is brilliant and a stark reminder of the importance of having the conviction of your beliefs.
The story of Matt and Brittany Montgomery is one that is quite common but nevertheless wonderful. The couple met, fell in love, and then started their lives together.
While it may sound like a common situation, the couple has a unique element in their story; their size difference. Brittany has had a hard time finding acceptance her entire life. She did not have the most secure relationship with her parents who were often controlling and her interactions with them would often leave her feeling drained.
All of this led to her having little confidence in herself and her body. Being plus-sized, she would often find herself with two kinds of men; those who would either want her to lose weight or those who fetishized her curves. These bad experiences led to her wanting to quit dating altogether and close herself off from the possibility of love.
But fate had something else in store for her! In August 2020, she crossed paths with Matt Montgomery on Facebook. While their physical builds had a stark difference between them, their souls connected on a level like never before!
Brittany recalled, “I was a bit hesitant at first. I’ve been in relationships where guys have told me that they will dump me if I don’t start dieting or trying to lose weight. It did affect my self-confidence, and at one point, I did start working out and trying to change my size.”
But the two of them were sure of one another and deeply in love. Matt proposed on January 30, 2022 and the couple began planning their lives together.
While they fully accept one another, they shared how the world judges their relationship. Matt shared, “People comment on Instagram and suggest that I’m not big enough or man enough for her.” He added, “I do notice people staring when we walk down the street…”
Despite all the criticism they receive on their relationship from people who fail to understand their deep connection, the couple have nothing but love for one another.
Matt has in his past had bad experiences with conventionally sized women. How Brittany makes him feel is what inspired Matt into realizing that she really is his true soulmate. He accepts her the way she is and focuses on making her happy. He is not shy about expressing his appreciation for her publicly, in a post for her he wrote, “You are worthy, you are deserving of infinite love every single day and more. The way I look at you and feel for you and the way you look and feel for me is how I know that we are meant to be.”
His caption shows people leaving rude comments on the couples’ pictures that he loves his wife and that they have a connection that goes much beyond the physical. What a solid response to the haters!

The couple wants to remove the stigma behind ‘mixed-weight’ relationships. “I wish mixed-weight relationships were more common and more in the norm,” she said.
The young couple welcomed their child Lakelyn in March 2022 and just last month announced that they are expecting their second child together in September 2023. We wish them all the best!

He allowed his own mother to suffer for an entire week on the bathroom floor before finally dying, and when authorities asked why he never called 911, the excuse he gave them was absolutely revolting.

According to Molly, she received a phone call stating that her father’s wife had died in their closet and there were needles and her0in found next to her. She thought about all the signs leading up to this moment.
When Molly’s family fell apart she knew she would be the one to have to put it back together. Her father was given 4 months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at age 50.
A day after that she received some horrible news, but it wasn’t about her father. Her father’s wife had died of an overdose. The entire family was shocked.
Molly quickly went into problem-solving mode. She needed to console her father and help figure out who would care for his 2-year-old son, Easton. So, she jumped on a plane alone with her 7-month-old twins and flew from to her father’s home. Her father quickly signed custody of Easton over to his daughter. She was heartbroken over how hard that moment must have been for her father.
To have to sign over his son knowing he wouldn’t live much longer. His eyes had begun to yellow, a sign of liver failure. In just 12 days, Easton had become an orphan. He would also have to attend the most personal funeral in his life before he could even speak. A few days later, Easton came home with Molly and her family. Easton’s life was about to drastically change again. He now lived in a world with structure, four sisters, and meals at the table.
Easton had become officially adopted at the age of 3 after his sister had fought for him for 458 days. “He’s now a brother to four sisters whom he is biologically the uncle of! If we want to get really technical, he’s also the brother-in-law of my husband, his now dad! I can only imagine the tricks they will play on other’s one day with that information,” she said. Now that Molly thinks back on it, it seemed that Easton was always been destined to be her son. That’s something the boy seemed to know from the start.
It’s important to be punctual, and it’s a good idea to learn that – and other lessons – at a young age.
But this school principal went way, way too far in enforcing that lesson. Six boys aged between 9 and 10 found themselves arriving late to Chaitanya Bharathi School, their private school in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Leyla Durmus lost her 21-year-old son Kaya after he died from an opioid overdose in 2016.
Kaya is buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Leyla visits his grave every day and is on a mission to spread awareness about opioid addiction.
