A 76-year-old former Navy man committed suicide in the parking lot of a New York VA hospital where he was allegedly denied care.

This has raised new questions about the federal agency, and his family and friends hope his death won’t be in vain.

Peter A. Kaisen, 76, of Islip, shot and killed himself outside the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he had been a patient.

Sources told The New York Times that before taking his life, Kaisen was upset because the VA hospital would not allow him to see an emergency-room physician for a mental health condition. Read the full story here ▶

When parents take their kids to the park, they usually expect it to be a safe and fun environment. However, when one mother went on an excursion to the park, what she saw enraged her. On the playground, she filmed a 38-year-old woman ‘jumping’ on a man while she had no trousers on.

The furious mother also told off the pair saying: “there’s kids over there. You think that’s alright?”, according to reports.

Per reports, the then-17-year-old boy Danta W., almost lost his plea deal during his murder trial after smiling during victim impact statements.

The defendant was reportedly grinning while the mother of Jordan sobbed during court, prompting judge Swartz to allow prosecutors to reconsider the plea deal that was previously reached.

After being arrested for giving birth to a heroin-addicted baby, an Alabama woman is under arrest again after authorities discovered she was pregnant a second time.

Alexandra Nicole Laird, 21, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, was indicted earlier in 2016 after her newborn baby was discovered by doctors to be addicted to heroin, reports AL.com. Laird is pregnant again and back behind bars on another child endangerment charge.

“I’m doing my damndest to try to prevent any further damage to this child, since it’s obvious the mother doesn’t seem to care,” said Pleasant Grove Police Lt. Danny Reid.Read the full story here ▶

Police are investigating after a woman said that a man in a Walmart assaulted her 4-month-old baby.

Quisha Hill of Overland Park, Kansas, had taken her baby shopping when she says a man attacked the child in a checkout lane at the store, according to WDAF.

“I come in to grab a couple items, and while I was at the counter top, speaking with this lady and bagging up my groceries, this random man comes out of nowhere and yanks the car seat out of the cart, has my baby, and he’s like I’m taking the baby, I’m stealing her. A Texas mother is being held on a $3 million bond for what must be the most cruel punishment ever imposed on children.

Last week, police arrested Sara Anne Woody, 24, of Burkburnett, Texas. She faces a total of 30 criminal charges that include 27 counts of injury to a child and two charges of witness tampering.

According to the Wichita Falls Times Record News, Woody is accused of making the boys, 7 and 12, lick filthy toilet rims as punishment when she believed they are lying to her. Woody also allegedly struck the boys’ genitals with a belt and burned their tongues with a charcoal grill lighter. Read the full story here ▶

No matter how much men and women struggle to split household tasks evenly, it often seems that women are the ones who end up picking up most of the toys, making sure the laundry is put away and making sure the bed is made. The list goes on.
