Mother Hounded By Debt Collectors Jumps Off The Bridge Holding Her 10-Year-Old Son In Her Arms

0

A harrowing video of a tragic event has found its way around the Internet through the news and social media.

On the 7th of February, 32-year-old Jessy Paola Moreno Cruz and her son May Ceballos, 10, were seen standing on the top of a Tolima, Ibagué, Colombia bridge 330-feet above solid ground.

The visibly distressed mother was tightly hugging her son.

A video shows emergency responders and onlookers attempting to converse with Cruz on the La Variante Bridge, but she was inconsolable, even though her own son was begging her not to jump.

Everyone pleaded with her for a few moments, and then footage shows her throwing herself off the bridge, holding her son tightly in her arms.

Audio reveals that a responder exclaims in shock when she jumps, while another breaks down in horror.

The mother and son are expected to have passed away from the incident due to the height of the jump.

Rescuers then went to the base of the affected area in order to retrieve the bodies, but have not managed to locate them yet.

This incident is currently considered a murder-suicide.

Reports have stated that Cruz was dealing with a severely poor financial situation and was surrounded by bad debt.

She had recently been evicted due to an inability to pay her rent, leading to them becoming homeless.

As a single parent, she struggled to make ends meet.

Cruz eventually decided that there was only one way out for her and her son – to kill themselves.

No word has currently been heard regarding the child’s father, and he has not made any comment.

Investigations are still ongoing, and some sources allege that Cruz was being followed and harassed by debt collectors.

Meanwhile, the news and footage have been circulating the internet.

While some commenters have negative things to say and condemn Cruz for her actions, most have been kind.

Some commenters state that while depression is not an excuse for taking away the lives of others, it is a severe mental illness, and one Cruz was clearly struggling with – a battle she ultimately lost.

More still state that it is no one’s place to judge her as others cannot know what she was going through.

Colombia, as a country, has one of the highest rates of suicide in South America at 7.7 per 10,000 individuals as of 2016.

According to Ibagué’s mayor, Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo, Cruz’s death may have been a result of the less-than-ideal political and economic climate currently plaguing the country, especially in the wake of Colombia’s civil war.

US ambassador to Colombia has recently told the armed forces of Venezuela to provide humanitarian aid to the country, but Venezuela has only fired back to state that the US should do so.

Though access to resources for suicide prevention is less common in Colombia compared to other countries, some do have helplines that can offer assistance and respond to emergency situations.

Many have taken it upon themselves to focus on helping others who face similar struggles with mental health and bad living situations, so they can, hopefully, be saved from deciding that their last resort is the only one left.

«About her controlling husband and alcohol abuse» Taking a closer look into Jennifer Love’s family drama and path to success

Paparazzi secretly captured Love and showed how family life has changed the actress!

Be ready to be surprised to see her new photos in this article!

There is probably no one who hasn’t watched «Heartbreakers» and doesn’t know this beauty who captivated millions of men back then. However, one can say that her path to success was not smooth. Later, she went to TV and took part in «The Client List».

What concerns her personal life, she married Brian in 2013, withdrew from the public eyes and fully dedicated herself to family life and motherhood. All this led her to gain weight and, as many mentioned, lose her former charm.

The situation became even worse when Brian got addicted to alcohol, started treating her in an abusive way and controlling her behavior. Brian’s influence greatly affected Love’s mental health, but she continued to grace our screens.

It was in 2018 that she returned in «911 Rescue Service» publicly apologizing for her changed appearance. She appeared insecure and confused. It seems that it is the very start of her self-discovery journey.

«Phoebe turned 60!» What happened to actress Lisa Kudrow and how has time changed the iconic actress?

Many remember this outstanding actress for her role in «Friends» where she portrayed Phoebe Buffay. She is a successful and highly in-demand actress whose role in the comedy series brought her career into a whole new level.

Since 1996 she has been living in their real-life Beverly Hills haven with his husband Michale Stern and their son Julian. She was born on July 30, 1963. To say that her career in acting was not always smooth is nothing to say.

Her career also extended with such roles as «Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion». It is worth mentioning that apart from acting, she has also built a career in screenwriting.

Few know that pandemic briefly separated the couple on their 25th anniversary. The style of her residence seemed something far removed from Phoebe’s eccentricity. It is closer to a serene and minimalist aesthetics.

This is how young and attractive Phoebe appears today. No one would deny that age has already taken its toll on her appearance, but to say that she looks fantastic for her age is nothing to say.

Joy Behar waited 29 years before marrying a retired school teacher who is 7 years younger than her.

She has been married twice, is a mother and a grandmother, and is currently married to a man who is younger than her. Joy Behar is a co-host of the daytime talk show “The View,” where she has been part of the original panel since 1997, although she briefly left the show in the past years.

The comedian left the show in 2013 but came back in 2015. She actually felt glad to be fired at first because she was tired of the show. She couldn’t remember why she felt that way. The network didn’t even know why they let her go for two years, and she thought it was a silly decision.

Since then, Joy Behar has stayed on the popular daytime show, “The View,” and in an interview in October 2022, she said she has no plans to retire. She signed a contract extension and will be on the show for a while. Even at 81 years old, she’s still enjoying it and doesn’t want to leave.

Joy celebrated her 81st birthday on “The View”

During the episode, her co-host Ana Navarro said that she knows Behar does not like to talk about her birthday, while fellow host Sunny Hostin mentioned that she did not look excited. Behar chimed in, saying:

“I can’t get excited. I’m just glad I’m alive, okay? You know, you get to a point where you wake up in the morning and say, ‘I’m still here, my God’”

Having marked her birthday milestone, Behar celebrated her wedding anniversary with her second husband two months before. The Hollywood star is married to a retired school teacher, Steve Janowitz.

The couple wed in August 2011 after dating for nearly three decades. Behar and Janowitz donned coordinated outfits for their big day. She wore a black short-sleeved dress while he opted for a black suit paired with a bow tie and a white shirt underneath

After getting married, Behar appeared on “ABC News” the following month in September. During the interview, the “Love Is All There Is” actress was asked whether she felt like a bride, and she jokingly responded:

“Do I look like a brushing bride to you? It’s been 29 years.”

When Joy Behar was asked if she felt like she was in the honeymoon phase of her marriage, she said no. She felt like she had just done what she needed to do, which was marrying her love after being together for many years.

She was also asked to share the secret to being together with someone for a long time. According to her, they are not sensitive people, so whatever remarks they make when they are together, neither of them takes it to heart.

Behar further shared that Janowitz is a man with a good sense of humor and that the first year into their relationship, she did not tell him she was a comedian to avoid scaring him off. She said the way they see each other also counts. A year after getting hitched, Behar was asked in another interview why she and Janowitz waited so long before tying the knot. She said,

“We waited so long because I had been married before, and I didn’t really see the point.”

The actress from “Hall Pass” made a joke, saying, “We did it for the sex,” but then she explained seriously. As she gets older, she wants someone who will be there for her both emotionally and legally if something were to happen. Her husband, Steve Janowitz, is seven years younger than her, and they’ve been married for 12 years.

Joy Behar is not just a wife; she’s also a mother. She had a daughter named Eve Behar with her ex-husband, television director Joseph Behar. They were married from 1965 to 1981, and their daughter was born in November 1970.

Joy Behar, who is a mother and a grandmother, happily shared pictures of her daughter with her husband, Alphonso Scotti, and their son, Luca, when she appeared on “Anderson Live” in November 2011.

She couldn’t stop talking about her grandson, who was only eight months old then. She proudly described him as “brilliant” and said he was already quite talkative at such a young age.

Luca’s mom is an artist who creates unique handmade ceramics. In August 2023, she gave a peek into her art exhibition on Instagram, sharing a family photo. Luca, now a teenager, looked all grown up, sitting with his parents and grandparents who were smiling at the camera. There was also a solo photo of Luca with his beloved grandmother.

Eve, Luca’s mom, also posted pictures from the art event, showing the people who attended. She thanked the gallery for the opportunity and encouraged her followers to check out the show in Sag Harbor, a village in Long Island, New York, if they were interested.

See iconic model Twiggy now at 73

a pixie hairstyle in a unique look that’s been replicated over the decades.

Though she transformed the fashion industry with her youthful style, the legendary cover girl recently revealed that she didn’t want the androgynous buzz that defined the look of the Swinging Sixties, and that she was just too shy to deny the work of a famous hairstylist in a “posh salon.”

Celebrating her 74th birthday on September 19, we’re taking you back to the 1960s when Twiggy first inspired the famous baby doll styles we still see today!

In 1966, the British-born Twiggy–whose birth name is Lesley Hornby–was looking for a trendy new look to help launch her career. Standing at only 5-foot-6, the aspiring young model was told she was too short to succeed in the competitive fashion industry.

Turning 74 on Sept. 19, the former supermodel recalled having her shoulder-length hair styled for some test “head shots” at London’s House of Leonard and meeting the famed British stylist, Leonard Lewis (professionally known as Leonard of Mayfair).

Lewis was looking for models to try out his new crop haircut.

In her recent guest appearance on Jessie Ware’s podcast, “Table Manners,” the former style icon revealed that she never wanted to have her hair cut short.

“I went in to have it shampooed and set and Leonard saw me, and he said, ‘Let me do my new haircut on you,’” Twiggy told Ware during the podcast. “I’d been growing my hair, for a moment I kind of went, ‘I don’t know whether I want my hair cut.’ But I was in this very posh salon in Mayfair so I was a bit too shy to say I don’t want it done, and I kind of nodded.”

The next day, Twiggy returned to the salon and sat in Lewis’ chair, bracing herself for what was coming.

“I went back the next day and I was in there for seven hours, where he cut it and then I went out and had it colored and then re-cut. Oh, it was mad,” she said with a laugh.

And though the androgynous look wasn’t what Twiggy was chasing, she quickly understood why Lewis earned notoriety as a stylist.

After perfecting her golden blonde crop, Lewis had British photographer, Barry Lategan, snapped Twiggy’s pictures.

“Leonard put it up in the salon and a journalist saw it,” Twiggy said, referring to the Daily Express fashion editor Deirdre McSharry, who while having Lewis style her hair, saw Twiggy’s daring do in the photos. “That’s how it all happened…When that haircut started, when that photograph was taken, that was the pivotal moment.”

The pixie cut highlighted her large blue eyes, which she emphasized with mascara on her lower eyelashes.

In a conversation with Vogue, Twiggy explained the inspiration behind her doe eyes: “I was also constantly playing around with make-up at home. I had a rag doll that had those spikey eyelashes, so I bought false eyelashes for myself and created what became known as my sort of ‘look.’”

The former supermodel also said as a youngster, when she wasn’t in the strict confines of her school, that she rebelled by wearing makeup and miniskirts to Saturday night mod clubs with her friends.

“I went to a grammar school, so it was quite strict. We wore uniforms and makeup was not allowed. So, on the weekends, me and my friends would sit like most teenage girls and play with makeup.” She continued “And that’s how that makeup evolved.”

And the eyes became part of her signature look.

A few weeks after the shoot for the Daily Express, several pictures–now iconic black and white images that launched her modeling career–along with the headline “Twiggy–The Face Of ‘66” appeared on the pages of the paper.

The following month, she did her first shoot for Vogue and her “life became a whirlwind.”

The quintessential mold for mod fashion, Twiggy was the role model to many women and, still in her teens, she became the first celebrity that Mattel used as a blueprint for a Twiggy Barbie.

Over the next several years, Twiggy’s name became synonymous with the trailblazing British designer Mary Quant, who revolutionized fashion with short hemlines, freeing the female leg.

After only a handful years of modelling, Twiggy retired in 1970 and explored stage and screen acting, along with singing.

Her movies include starring roles in 1971s The Boy Friend–a performance that earned her two Golden Globes–and Club Paradise (1986), where she played the lead alongside the late Robin Williams.

The America’s Next Top Model judge also worked on a fashion line exclusive to Marks & Spencer and ppeared on several of the brand’s billboard ads.

In 2011, she released the album “Romantically Yours,” that features cover songs like “Blue Moon,” “They Can’t Take That Away from Me” and “Right Here Waiting.” Her only daughter, Carly Lawson (born 1978) is a guest vocalist on some of the tracks.

Still on the frontlines of fashion, the stunning woman was ambassador for L’Oreal and she partners with other brands as a designer.

These days the icon is keeping busy with her own podcast, Tea with Twiggy, where each week she has intimate chats with her famous friends.

And despite all her achievements, Twiggy, one of the most recognizable faces of her generation, said her success can only be measured by the bond she shares with her incredible daughter.

After her father, actor Michael Witney, died at 52 at her fifth birthday celebration, Carly was raised by her mom and second husband, Leigh Lawson, whom Twiggy married in 1988.

“My number one is family. It always has been, even when Carly was little. If it didn’t work for Carly, I didn’t do it,” said Twiggy, who’s also a grandmother. “We went everywhere together but that’s why we’re so close now. The other day, she was saying, ‘I can’t remember a time when you weren’t there, Mum’ and it’s because I was always there. Even when I travelled, she came with me.”

What are your memories of the Swinging Sixties? What is the most daring hairstyle you’ve tried?

Please share this story and let’s show Twiggy some love on her birthday!

Jodie Foster came under fire for a comment she made about Gen-Z – she is finally breaking her silence

exp-customer-logo

Jodie Foster is not someone who minces her words and usually is known truthful about how she feels. So similarly, she made an honest admission about her feelings towards Gen-Z which are not always positive.

In an interview with The Guardian, she revealed that working with Gen-Z sometimes could check her patience. She said, “They’re really annoying, especially in the workplace. They’re like, ‘Nah, I’m not feeling it today, I’m gonna come in at 10:30 a.m.’” she said. Adding, “Or, like, in emails, I’ll tell them this is all grammatically incorrect, did you not check your spelling? And they’re like, ‘Why would I do that, isn’t that kind of limiting?’”

The Academy-Award-winning actress is clearly less than amused by the newest generation’s work ethic. But clearly, she does not want to lose their support or upset them because at the Golden Globes red carpet, she clarified her comments.

In a red carpet interview at the 81st Golden Globes on Sunday at The Beverly Hilton, the 61-year-old actress qualified her previous remarks. She wanted to let everyone especially Gen-Z know that she “loves” them and that her two sons are from the same generation as well.

“I adore them. They have all this freedom, which is wonderful but we didn’t have. We didn’t know we could say no, for example, and it’s just created a miraculous, confident, different, authentic people,” she said. She added, “But it also makes them, you know.”

The interviewee interjected and offered “very difficult sometimes,” to which she merely agreed and said an empathic “Yes.”

“But you need them in order to make your phone work,” she added as a funny afterthought. “What can I say.”

Her previous comment saying she is irritated with Gen-Z clearly did not go over well and must have been bothering her for her to clear it up in the interview. Everyone is entitled to their personal opinions!

Elton John makes startling claim about Michael Jackson years after his death

It’s no great surprise that many of the oldest heads from the volatile, ever-unpredictable world of celebrity showbiz boast a veritable vault of secrets. Neither is it all that wild that many of these revelations eventually see the light of day at one point or another.

Yet it can’t be disputed that there are celebrities and celebrities. That is to say that there are levels to the game that separate those who are hesitant to walk down a high street for fear of being recognized and those who are out-of-this-world superstars.

Elton John, it’s safe to say, sits in the latter category. Which is perhaps why the release of his memoir, Me, garnered so much attention …

Within the pages of Me there were plenty of claims made by the iconic singer, plenty of stories retold, plenty of hilarious, shocking, upsetting moments revisited.

Yet it was his words on the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, that have struck something of a chord online.

John told how he had met Jackson when the latter was still a young boy, before going on to describe how the years changed the Thriller singer in all manner of ways, and none of them positive.

“I’d known Michael since he was 13 or 14,” Elton wrote. “He was just the most adorable kid you could imagine. But at some point in the intervening years, he started sequestering himself away from the world and away from reality, the way Elvis Presley did.”

Elton went on to affirm his belief that Jackson’s transformation may have largely been down to his prolonged use of prescription drugs.

“God knows what was going on in his head,” Elton continued, “and God knows what prescription drugs he was being pumped full of, but every time I saw him in his later years I came away thinking that the poor guy had totally lost his marbles.

The Your Song artist added: “I don’t mean that in a lighthearted way. He was genuinely mentally ill, a disturbing person to be around.”

Jackson infamously became the center of a mass media storm after he was accused of sexual abuse against minors – a dark cloud that has never really been disassociated with his name, even now, many years after his passing.

As for those rumors, John said simply: “For whatever reason, he couldn’t seem to cope with adult company at all.”

John’s health

Of late, the 75-year-old John has been troubled with a number of health issues.

He was forced to postpone and reschedule many of the dates on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour until 2023 in a bid to aid his recovery.

Earlier this week, reports emerged suggesting that Elton had declined an offer to perform at King Charles’s coronation concert. He famously performed Candle in the Wind at Princess Diana’s funeral, but will not be appearing at the ceremony to officially confirm her ex-husband’s position as the new monarch of England.
