The 50-year-old mother, Lori, was found guilty in May for killing two of her children, 16-year-old Tylee and 7-year-old Vallow. She was also found guilty of conspiring to kill Tammy, the spouse of Chad, whom she later married.

Last week, the killer mom was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole for the murders of her two youngest children. She also received a life sentence for conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death of a romantic rival.

“I don’t think to this day you have any remorse for the effort and heartache you caused for others who looked for your children when you knew where they were and knew they were dead,”

Therefore the life sentences for murder would run consecutively. She also received life sentences for conspiring to murder her two children and 10 years for grand theft. The sentencing hearing was the first time both the judge and victims directly addressed the mother.

“The most unimaginable type of murder is to have a mother murder her own children, and that’s exactly what you did,” Judge Steven told her. “It is the most shocking thing I can imagine.” “You had so many other options,” the judge said. “You chose the most evil and destructive path possible.” “You are a liar, an adulteress and a murderer, and because of the choices you made, my family lost a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and daughter,” Samantha, Tammy’s sister, said. “She was 1,000 times the woman you will ever dream of being. Lori also addressed the court prior to her sentencing, but her plea did not help her case. “Jesus knows me. And Jesus understands me. I mourn with all of you who mourn my children and Tammy.

The doctors told the family that the 35-year-old woman, Ashley, reportedly died after drinking roughly 64 ounces of water in just 20 minutes. Police officials released a statement, saying that she died from water toxicity, the process of depleting one’s body of electrolytes, following an outing over the weekend.

According to the health experts, water toxicity happens when one drink too much water too fast. The effect is to overwhelm one’s own body’s complex organ systems, primarily the kidneys, to regulate the balance of fluids. The effect is to dilute one’s own body of sodium, potassium, and chloride, which regulates proper cell function.

On the last day of her trip, the mom of two had told family members that she felt lightheaded and had a headache, symptoms of dehydration and incredibly thirsty.

Despite rapidly drinking 64 ounces of fluid, no amount of water could satiate her thirst. Ashley drank the equivalent of four 16oz (500ml) bottles. When the woman returned home, she collapsed in her garage, having suffered severe brain swelling. The mom of two never regained consciousness.

At the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with water toxicity, also called hyponatremia, which develops as a result of there being too much water in the body and not enough sodium. When Devon, Ashley’s brother, heard of his sister’s condition, he was in disbelief, telling WRTV: ‘It was a big shock to us all. I was just like, this is a thing?’ Adding: ‘She just felt like she couldn’t get enough water… When they left the sand bar to when they got to the dock, it was about a 20 minute boat ride … she drank four bottles of water in that 20 minutes. That’s half a gallon. That’s what you’re supposed to drink in a whole day.’

Recalled the brother: ‘My sister, Holly, called me, and she was just an absolute wreck. She was like “Ashley is in the hospital. She has brain swelling, they don’t know what’s causing it, they don’t know what they can do to get it to go down, and it’s not looking good”‘. Ashley never regained consciousness and doctors diagnosed her with water poisoning, or hyponatraemia. The condition occurs when someone consumed an excessive amount of water in a narrow window of time, which overwhelms the ability of the body’s complex organ systems, primarily the kidneys, to regulate the balance of fluids.

Police officials said the 33-year-old man, later identified as Montrel, was taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including: murder, neglect of a dependent resulting in catastrophic injury, aggravated battery, and battery resulting in death to a person less than 14 years old after he reportedly killed his 4-year-old cousin Jolly.

Police officials also said the 911 dispatcher received a call about a 4-year-old boy who was having a seizure. The first responders reportedly found the victim unconscious.

There were no visible signs of injury on the child, the paramedic observed, but he was unresponsive, L&C reported.

Shortly after, officers found bl00d on the bathroom counter and sink, damage to the bathroom door, and multiple blo0dstains on walls in multiple bedrooms.

The 4-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital due to the severe nature of his injuries. Doctors told investigators that the boy suffered non-accidental trauma and never regained consciousness. Unfortunately, the child died from blunt force injuries to his head. Police officials said the 33-year-old suspect said he was disciplining the child by making him do wall sits because the boy had put his shoes on the incorrect feet. The suspect then allowed the little boy to use the restroom. This made Montrel even more upset because the child was going to sit on the toilet to ur-nate instead of standing ‘like a regular boy.’

The 33-year-old man made the little boy use the restroom and then return to the wall to do wall sits. At one point, he looked at the boy and observed he was on the ground near the corner of the door frame with blood coming out of his mouth. The boy’s mother, Jasontina, was in and out of the house buying groceries and then unloading them from the car and putting them away. The woman told investigators that she was aware of the discipline being meted out to her son and that it was happening because he had incorrectly put his shoes on.

Montrel faces a possible sentence of 45 to 65 years in prison if convicted as charged for the crimes alone. Prosecutors said that Montrel’s statements could not account for the injuries doctors determined the boy had suffered from before dying, including: patterned bruising on his scalp; subdural and subarachnoid hemorrhage; severe, diffuse hypoxic injury affecting the majority of his brain; torn upper lip frenulum with bruising of the surrounding mucosa; bruising on arms; suspected laceration/contusion of the mid portion of the pancreas; possible bowel contusion of the ascending colon; several possible rib fractures’ and patterned bruising to the back and diffuse bruising over the right buttock, L&C reported.

According to the court documents, the 30-year-old defendant, later identified as Kasandra, reportedly put a plastic bag over her former live-in boyfriend’s head and stabbed him in the stomach. The woman then watched the 66-year-old man, Ramon, bleed out to make sure he died. Kasandra was indicted on one count of first-degree murder.

On Nov. 11, 2022, officers responded to a call about a dead body being discovered at a residence. The responding officers reportedly found the lifeless body of the 66-year-old man, who died from apparent stab wounds. During an interview with investigators, the woman reportedly provided a detailed description of her killing the 66-year-old man to a friend who later disclosed the information to the authorities.

Investigators said that there were no signs of forced entry at the home. A family member informed the police that were on a call with the victim on the previous day, when they heard a woman’s voice in the background. They noted that Kasandra sounded surprised about the unexpected guest and told the family member he would ring them back. The family member reportedly indicated that Kasandra was likely the one who dropped by the victim’s home. Per reports, Kasandra reportedly provided a detailed description of her killing Flores to a friend

According to the court documents, another witness allegedly told the authorities that Kasandra confessed to murdering Ramon, in which she first suffocated him and then knifed him in the torso multiple times. “She told [the witness] she had put a bag over his head, and when that didn’t work she stabbed him in the stomach,” the warrant reportedly said. “She said the knife had broken, so [Kasandra] got another knife from the kitchen and stabbed him again.” The witness further stated that she did not immediately flee the scene. “She told him she had watched Ramon to make sure he died,” the warrant reportedly said.

Police officials said the 29-year-old father, later identified as Richard, was taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges after he reportedly shook his 15-month-old baby really fast in a baby stroller before dropping the child on the pavement.

The nak-d baby was also crying hysterically and appeared to be dehydrated, police officials said.

During an interview with investigators, the father reportedly said that he dropped his baby on the pavement in order to toughen him up. Richard was later charged with unlawful conduct toward a child, public intoxication and possession of marijuana.

The responding officers were reportedly flagged down by a witness, who wished to remain anonymous.

The witness reportedly told the officers that she saw Richard drop and shake a baby in a stroller. The responding officers said the father was hostile, slurring his speech and having difficulty standing still. Richard reportedly admitted to police that had been drinking and smoking marijuana. A 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor was located under the child’s stroller, the report said.

During an interview with investigators, the father also admitted to dropping the child, telling them that he plays rough with the victim every day and accidentally drops him often in an effort to toughen him up. The child, who was naked and crying hysterically, was covered in dirt and sand and had red marks on his back and a cut on his stomach, the report said. Richard is the custodial parent and responsible for care of the victim, police officials said.

Police officials said the 48-year-old man, later identified as William, and the child’s mother, 43-year-old Brandy, were taken into custody and later charged with five counts each of ra-e of a child. Police officials also said both suspects reportedly committed se* crimes against a little girl under the age of 10 over the course of nearly a year.

According to the statement, Brandy’s 7-year-old daughter was forcibly ra-ed approximately 5 times. Officials said the first assault reportedly occurred during the first week of December 2022. All five of the alleged incidents of se-ual assault reportedly took place inside Brandy’s home.

According to the authorities, the 43-year-old mom reportedly gave William permission to commit the alleged ra-es while she stayed in the room and watched the attacks. Authorities were first notified about possible wrongdoing by a concerned person. Both suspects are being held without bond and are scheduled to appear for a hearing on Wednesday.

A GoFundMe page was created by Donald, who says he is Brandy’s brother and the victim’s uncle. “My (former) sister and her BF were arrested on 9/13/23 and each charged with 5 counts of child ra-e against my 7 year old niece. We have been awarded temporary custody pending their trial outcome and are relocating my niece to live with us. It is our goal to pursue full permanent custody once they have been found guilty and incarcerated, hopefully for life,” the page stated. The uncle also wrote that the funds raised will go towards helping the victim overcome her horrific upbringing and starting a new life that is free from abuse.

During a simple traffic stop, a young woman brandished a gun and opened fire at a police officer, nearly killing him in order to get out of a ticket. However, despite her smirking and denying she did anything wrong, the judge had a response that wiped the smile right off her face.

In the apparent view of 26-year-old Desiree Breshay Smith, she can do no wrong. So, after allegedly attempting to kill a North Carolina police officer for simply pulling her over for a traffic violation, she expected to go free. Unfortunately, the judge wasn’t about to appease her sense of entitlement.

Just after 11 p.m., Fayetteville police officers witnessed Smith’s 2006 Chevrolet Impala speed through a stop sign on the 2000 block of Corrinna Street. As such, the officers engaged their lights and siren in an effort to pull over the driver. However, stopping for a ticket just wasn’t in Smith’s plans.

Instead of stopping, Smith brandished a firearm and opened fire at one of the officers, reportedly in an attempt to murder him. Disturbingly, what would’ve been a simple traffic violation turned into a deadly drive-by shooting, leading police on a terrifying chase.

Eventually, Smith was apprehended while trying to flee the scene. Soon after her arrest, police charged her with felony assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, felony flee to elude arrest, possession of a stolen firearm, careless and reckless driving, and failure to stop at a stop sign, according to The Fayetteville Observer. Fortunately, neither officer was injured.

“As soon as he saw that she was firing shots, he initiated his emergency equipment and she began to flee,” Fayetteville Police Sergeant Jeremy Glass said.

After being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, Smith went to court for her initial appearance. However, instead of showing remorse for the seriousness of her crimes, Smith smirked and defended her actions, arguing that she shouldn’t be in jail because she’s a good student who’s never been arrested before, Law Enforcement Today reports.

“I’ve never been in trouble before – never ever,” she told the judge. “I’m not guilty of anything they’re saying. I work. I go to school.”

Upon witnessing her remorseless behavior, Judge Stephen Stokes decided to teach her lesson in humility. In response to her arrogant attitude, the judge ordered Smith’s bond to be raised from $25,000 to a whopping $100,000. The suddenly straight-faced and silent woman was then escorted back into police custody.

During a subsequent investigation, authorities discovered empty shell casings in Smith’s car. The spent rounds were confirmed to be from the same stolen gun fired by the suspect at officers. It will be incredibly difficult for Smith to defend herself against the mounting evidence, despite her alleged stellar reputation as a hard-working collegiate.

Regardless of Smith’s willingness to keep a job and study for school, she has proven herself to be a danger to the public and law enforcement officers. It would be safe to say that her ability to show up to class doesn’t outweigh the fact that she tried to kill a police officer just to avoid getting a traffic ticket.

Prosecutors said the 42-year-old defendant, later identified as Mark, was convicted of a double murder. The defendant reportedly killed his 48-year-old girlfriend Eva and his 40-year-old barber Steven after an argument over a bad haircut at his friend’s house.

Mark was also convicted of attempted murder for trying to kill his friend David. Luckily, the homeowner was able to escape being hit by a bullet that tore through a closet door where he hid and called 911 as Mark tried to get in.

According to the court documents, this incident occurred on Dec. 11, 2021. Officers responded to a shooting call. When the officers arrived on scene, they found two victims.

During an interview with investigators, the homeowner reportedly said that Mark told him he was going to get his gun. He then returned to the front door of the home, which was open and shot Steven at least one time in the face.

When Mark’s girlfriend went to her knees to check on Steven, Mark stood over her and said, ‘is that what you want b—-?’ before shooting her at least one time in the head. Mark was no more than two feet away from Steven and Eva when he shot them. Valencia then shot at David as he stood in the kitchen near the laundry room but missed. Then Mark went, allowing enough time for David to get to the master bedroom closet. While hiding in the closet, he called 911.

The homeowner also said Mark returned to the house and tried to open the closet door while David held it closed, and then Mark shot through the closet door, the victim in fear for his life, thinking Mark was going to kill him. When police arrived, they found Mark drunk and bloody in the driver’s seat of David’s van in the driveway. During an interview with investigators, the 42-year-old suspect reportedly said that they all had been drinking that night. He fought with his hairdresser because “he only cut half his hair.” At one point, Mark said he was afraid for his life because of Steven’s size compared to his and got his gun from his car, according to the affidavit. The suspect also stated he intended to shoot Steven, but Eva got in the way.
