The Pressure Is on for Bill Belichick

The Patriots will enter the 2021 season with much more pressure than they did in 2020. The answer is obvious, Tom Brady. Not only did Brady go to a new team and win the Super Bowl his first season, but he did it also with a torn MCL. Now, for a 43-year-old athlete that must be hard to play with. Not for Brady though, he beat Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers on the road in the playoffs. Then crushed Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Belichick’s Patriots went 7-9 and missed the playoffs with Cam Newton.

The excuses last year from Cam getting COVID, to no preseason is ridiculous. Every team went through the same protocols. If Belichick got receivers and tight ends in the 2019 offseason Tom Brady would still be here and they’d have 7 Super Bowls. Instead, Belichicks ego got in the way and he’s watching his former quarterback for two decades win a Super Bowl, while he is forced to take Mac Jones in the first round. As of right now, Brady is the reason for the Patriots’ success. Belichick must take this team to the playoffs at least for this to be a good year. With the amount of money, they spent if they don’t make the playoffs, it’s a failure and Belichick should be on the hot seat.

Brady Keeps Beating Belichick at Winning

How you walk away from the greatest of all time is not what was best for the team. It was best for Belichick. Bill knew Brady was bigger than the team itself, so he pushed him out the door. What’s best for the team is keeping Brady if you can so you win. Brady keeps making Belichick regret letting him go, and he should.

Patriots fans should be mad at Belichick for not doing what’s best for the team. That is what he has preached for 20+ years. No excuses the Patriots should make the playoffs this season regardless of who the quarterback is. If they don’t make the playoffs and Brady wins his 8th Super Bowl, it may be see you later Belichick.
