Texas Anti-Mask ‘Freedom Defender’ Caleb Wallace Dies Of COVID-19

After near a month in a hospital and grueling weeks on a ventilator, distinguished Texas anti-mask “freedom” rally organizer Caleb Wallace died Saturday of COVID-19 issues.

The dying of the 30-year-old father of three younger daughters was first reported by his pregnant spouse, Jessica Wallace, on a GoFundMe web page she had arrange for donations to assist with medical and family payments.

“Caleb has peacefully passed on. He will forever live in our hearts and minds,” she wrote in an replace on the positioning.

Wallace, of San Angelo, had been on the native Shannon Medical Center since July 30. He had been unconscious, ventilated and heavily sedated within the ICU there since Aug. 8, the San Angelo Standard-Times reported.

She informed the newspaper that she wears a masks, and that her views had been “less conservative” than her husband’s.

“Caleb would tell me, ‘You know masks aren’t going to save you,’ but he understood I wanted to wear them. It gives me comfort to know that maybe, just maybe, I’m either protecting someone or avoiding it myself.”

She emphasised that “whether he was a hardcore conservative or not, he was an amazing man.”

Wallace final year organized two main protests in opposition to what he referred to as the “COVID tyranny” of business lockdowns, masks and vaccinations.

“I guarantee you that 2020 has been one of the worst years for America,” he mentioned at protest simply over a year in the past organized by a gaggle he had created, the  “San Angelo Freedom Defenders.”

“Show me the science that masks work,” Wallace wrote on San Angelo’s Facebook web page late final year. “Show me the evidence that school closures work. Show me the evidence that lock-downs work.”
