After specializing in serving wholesome meals in colleges as the primary woman of the United States, Michelle Obama is now taking over the problem of launching a brand new Netflix children’s meals show.
The new show, referred to as “Waffles + Mochi,” launches March 16 and will likely be “all about good food: discovering it, cooking it, and of course, eating it.”
“Waffles and Mochi” will take children on an journey all over the world discovering new substances and recipes.
“In many ways, this show is an extension of my work to support children’s health as First Lady—and to be quite honest, I wish a program like this had been around when my girls were young,” Obama wrote in a post on Instagram.
Obama stated the show is collaborating with Partnership for a Healthier America, the place Obama serves because the honorary chair, to offer recent substances to households through the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
This is not the primary time Mrs. Obama has partnered with Netflix. Last year, Obama’s doc portrait titled “Becoming” premiered on the platform. The movie chronicled her 34-city guide tour in 2018-2019 for her best-selling memoir “Becoming.”
Back in 2018, Mrs. Obama and former President Barack Obama signed a multi-year settlement with Netflix “to potentially produce films and series for Netflix, potentially including scripted series, unscripted series, docuseries, documentaries, and features.”
