A foodie has wowed 1000’s after she celebrated her birthday with a homemade sushi cake – full with sashimi, seaweed and edible flowers.

Connie Cao, from Melbourne, shared an Instagram Reel displaying precisely how she assembled the savoury birthday cake.

‘Why have birthday cake when you’ll be able to have sushi cake,’ she wrote.

‘As you already know I like my sushi, so this year I made a decision to step up my cake recreation and rejoice birthday week with a homemade sushi cake.

‘I had a lot enjoyable placing this cake collectively with my sister and adorning it with handpicked flowers from my backyard.’

She used an abundance of edible flowers from her backyard, filling in any hole to create a shocking sushi cake.
