Man Avoids Death Penalty After Stabbing and Assaulting Ex, Kidnapping and Killing Her 2-Year-Old Daughter

According to the court documents, the 26-year-old defendant, Rashad, who prosecutors say kidnapped his ex-girlfriend’s daughter and strangled the child to death, will not face the death penalty after prosecutors declined to seek the death penalty against him.
